Statement by the Kingdom of Belgium on the provisional application of certain provisions of the Agreement on a Unified Patent Court (UPC): On 6 June 2014 the Kingdom of Belgium deposited its instrument of ratification of the above Agreement with the General Secretariat of the Council of the European Union, which is the depositary for the Agreement, in accordance with Article 84 thereof. Pending entry into force of the Agreement pursuant to Article 89 thereof, the Kingdom of Belgium states that it undertakes to apply provisionally from 15 May 2017 - Articles 1-2, 4-5, 6(1), 7, 10-19, 35(1,3 and 4), 36-41 and 71(3) of the Agreement, - Articles 1-7(1), 7(5), 9-18, 20(1), 22-28, 30, 32 and 33 of Annex I to the Agreement (Statute of the Unified Patent Court).

Until further notice the Agreement will not apply to the Faroe Islands and Greenland.
Estonia

Pending the entry into force of the Agreement in respect of the Republic of Estonia in accordance with Article 89 of the Agreement, the Republic of Estonia declares that it undertakes to apply provisionally as from 3 July 2017: 1) Articles 1, 2, 4, 5, 6(1), 7, 10-19, 35(1), 35(3), 35(4), 36-41 and 71(3) of the Agreement and 2) Articles 1-6, 7(1), 7(5), 9-18, 20(1), 22-28, 30, 32 and 33 of the Statute of the Unified Patent Court.

The Republic of Finland declares, that it applies provisionally the article 1, 2, 4, 5, 6(1), 7, 10-19, 35(1, 3 and 4), 36-41 and 71(3) of the Agreement on a Unified Patent Court and article 1-6, 7(1 and 5), 9-18, 20(1), 22-28, 30, 32 and 33 of the Statute of the Unified Patent Court.
Netherlands, the Kingdom of the

Pending the entry into force of the Agreement for the European part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, in accordance with its Article 89, the Kingdom of the Netherlands declares that it considers itself bound, for the European part of the Kingdom, by the provisional application of the following provisions of the Agreement as from the date on which the Kingdom of the Netherlands will have informed the depositary that it has received parliamentary approval to ratify the Agreement for the European part of the Kingdom: - the articles 1, 2, 4-5, 6(1), 7, 10-19, 35(1, 3 and 4), 36-41 and 71(3) of the Agreement, - the articles 1-7(1), 7(5), 9-18, 20(1), 22-28, 30, 32, 33 and 35(1) of Annex I of the Agreement (Statute of the Unified Patent Court).

The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland shall not provisionally apply Article 4 of the Agreement on a Unified Patent Court.

Referring to the Protocol to the Agreement on a Unified Patent Court on provisional application: In accordance with Article 3(1) of the Protocol, and subject to the Reservation it made on signature in relation to Article 1 of the Protocol, the United Kingdom has completed all relevant domestic procedures required by its law to provisionally apply Article 1-2, 5, 6(1), 7, 10-19, 35(1, 3 and 4), 36-41 and 71(3) of the Agreement on a Unified Patent Court and Article 1-7(1), 7(5), 9-18, 20(1), 22-28, 30, 32 and 33 of the Statute of the Unified Patent Court.
