Belgium

In accordance with article 18, paragraph 1 a) of the Convention, the Kingdom of Belgium reserves the right to exclude the application of the provisions of the Convention to claims for damage resulting from a change in the physical, chemical or biological quality of the water.

Germany

In accordance with article 18 (1) of the Convention, the Federal Republic of Germany reserves the right to exclude the application of the rules of the Convention in their entirety or in part in respect of the claims referred to in article 18 (1) (a) and (c) of the Convention, as well as in respect of the lighters referred to in article 18 (1) (d) of the Convention.

Luxembourg

Reservation:
For the purposes of article 18, paragraph (1), the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg excludes claims relating to damage resulting from a change in the physical, chemical or biological quality of the water.
Declarations:
For the purposes of article 15, paragraph (2), the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg declares that the Convention referred to in article 1 will only apply to the Moselle and the navigable waters of the Sauer.
Without prejudice to rights relative to claims in respect of loss of life or personal injury referred to in article 6 of the Convention, claims in respect of damage to harbour works, basins, waterways, locks, weirs, bridges and aids to navigation will have such priority over other claims.

Netherlands, the Kingdom of the

In accordance with Article 18, paragraph 1, under a, the Kingdom of the Netherlands, for the European part of the Netherlands, reserves the right to exclude the application of the rules of this Convention in their entirety in respect of claims for damage due to a change in the physical, chemical or biological quality of the water.

Serbia

In accordance with article 18, paragraph 1 of the Strasbourg Convention on the limitation of liability in inland navigation (CLNI 2012), the Republic of Serbia declares that it excludes the application of the provisions of this Convention to damage resulting from a change in the physical, chemical or biological quality of the water, as well as to the claims referred to in article 2, paragraph 1 (d) and (e) of the Convention.

Switzerland

Declaration regarding Article 15, paragraph 2 (a) and (b):
Switzerland declares that it excludes the application of the rules of the Convention to waterways situated on its territory that are not listed in Annex I to the European Agreement of 19 January 1996 on Main Inland Waterways of International Importance.
Reservation regarding Article 18, paragraph 1 (a):
Switzerland reserves the right to exclude the application of the rules of the Convention, in their entirety or in part, in respect of claims for damage due to a change in the physical, chemical or biological quality of the water.
Reservation regarding Article 18, paragraph 1 (c):
Switzerland reserves the right to exclude the application of the rules of the Convention, in their entirety or in part, in respect of claims mentioned in Article 2, paragraph 1 (d) and (e) of the Convention.
