Statement by the Republic of Austria re Article IV(2) of the Protocol to the Convention: The Republic of Austria declares that judicial and extra-judicial documents drawn up in a Contracting State other than Austria which have to be served on persons in the territory of the Republic of Austria may not be transmitted directly to the public officer in the Republic of Austria by the public officer of the State in which they were drawn up.

The convention will not apply to the Faroe Islands and to Greenland until further notice.

Sweden

"Sweden does not accept the procedure described in Article IV, paragraph 2 of the Protocol, whereby documents may also be sent by the appropriate public officers of the State in which the document has been drawn up directly to the appropriate public officers of the State in which the addressee is to be found."
