Declaration of Romania upon the accession of the 'Republic of Kosovo' to the International
Monetary Fund and World Bank.
Romania took note of the admittance of the 'Republic of Kosovo' as [a] member of the
International Monetary Fund and of the World Bank, following the voting procedure
that has recently taken place and the signature of the Articles of Agreement, on 29-06-2009.
Romania reiterates that it does not recognize the 'Republic of Kosovo' as a State.
The admission of the 'Republic of Kosovo' to the International Monetary Fund and the
World Bank and the membership of this entity in these bodies, alongside Romania, are
without prejudice to the position of Romania vis-à-vis the status of Kosovo and do
not presume in anyway the recognition by Romania of the statehood of the 'Republic
of Kosovo'.
