Comment
The Convention of 1905 is replaced between the parties by the Convention relating
to civil procedure of 1 March 1954. Considering that Estonia is not a party to the
1954 Convention and that the 1954 Convention has not been extended by Denmark to the
Faroe Islands, the 1905 Convention remains in force in the relation between Estonia
and the Faroe Islands and the other parties.
Insofar as the 1905 Convention has not been replaced between the parties by the 1954
Convention, articles 1 to 7 of both Conventions are replaced in the relation between
the parties by the Convention on the service abroad of judicial and extrajudicial
documents in civil or commercial matters of 15 November 1965. The 1965 Convention
does not apply to the Faroe Islands. The 1965 Convention applies in the relation between
Estonia and the other parties, except with Austria, since Austria is not a party to
the 1965 Convention.
